Parental Consent Disclosure

Version 3. Effective Date: 2026-10-01

This page describes what applies when a child under 13 is added to a team. Children under 13 do not get an account of their own. Your child appears on the roster and has stats, photos, and film like any other player, but cannot sign in, post, comment, or message; you do all of that from your own account. This page covers that profile and the normal team operations around it.

1. What this page covers

ReviSports Inc., a Utah corporation with its principal place of business (headquarters) in West Haven, Utah (“ReviSports”), does not create an account for a child under 13 on the ReviSports platform (the “Platform”). Your child takes part through a roster profile that you manage from your own account.

The published ReviSports Privacy Policy and Terms of Service on the effective date of this disclosure are incorporated by reference. This document does not override them.

2. The information ReviSports collects about your child

Profile information:

  • Your child's name, visible only within your child's own team
  • Your child's date of birth
  • A display username chosen by you (used in every external-facing context)
  • Your child's jersey number, position, height, weight, and team history
  • Content about your child that you or their coach add to the Platform, such as photographs, highlights, game film, and statistics

Your child does not use the Platform, so nothing is collected from them automatically.

ReviSports does NOT collect from your child: precise geolocation, biometric data, financial information, third-party social media account information, or any personal information beyond what is reasonably necessary to provide the Platform's athletic profile and team communication features.

Date-of-birth confidentiality: ReviSports does not disclose your child's date of birth to anyone outside ReviSports under any circumstances. Date of birth is used solely as an internal field to verify your child's age and ensure the correct age-appropriate features are applied. Coaches, teams, and leagues that need to know your child's age tier (e.g., U10, U12, U15) use their own records, typically a birth certificate on file with the league or school. ReviSports does not collect or share birth certificates.

No government identification is collected, examined, or retained at any point.

3. Normal team operations

These are the normal team operations for a child on a team roster.

  • Team roster membership. Your child appears on the team roster visible to other team members (teammates, coaches, team parents/guardians).
  • Team communications. You receive team announcements, schedule updates, and game-day information for your child through your own account.
  • Game film capture and storage. Your child's coach captures, uploads, stores, and analyzes game film featuring your child for normal coaching purposes. The coach is the data controller for game film content (Terms of Service § 8.3).
  • Cross-team film sharing (“Film Trades”). Coaches routinely share game film with other coaches for opponent scouting and recruiting evaluation purposes. This is a normal part of athletic team operations and exists on every comparable youth, high-school, and college film platform. Your child's image appears in game film that may be shared between coaches via the Platform's Film Trades feature. No additional per-trade consent is required, because a receiving coach gets view-and-analyze access only: they can watch the film and add their own private coaching notes, but the Platform does not let them extract highlights from it, publish it, or re-trade it onward without permission. The receiving coach is also bound by strict restrictions on the traded film and any minor data it contains: no sale of that data, and no use of it for advertising or behavioral profiling of any kind.
  • In-team statistics. Your child's performance statistics are tracked, analyzed, and visible within their team.
  • AI-powered analysis (“Modeling Technologies”). ReviSports uses your child's Content (including game film and athletic data) to develop, train, and improve machine learning, artificial intelligence, statistical modeling, and other computational, analytical, or predictive technologies, whether currently existing or developed in the future (collectively, “Modeling Technologies”). This use is perpetual: Modeling Technologies developed using your child's Content prior to a deletion request are not affected by the deletion. The underlying Content is deleted in accordance with the published retention framework (Section 8 of this disclosure; Privacy Policy § 9), but trained models cannot practically have specific data contributions removed. This is the same provision that appears in Terms of Service § 8.2 and applies to all users of the Platform.

4. Display username and identity outside the team

Your child appears under a display username in every external-facing context (anywhere outside your child's own team). The username is chosen by you and must not contain your child's real name, school name, birth year, or other personally identifying information. The Platform validates usernames against these rules and may require a username change if they are violated (Terms of Service § 4.1).

Your child's real name is not shown outside the team unless you turn it on. The Real Name control starts off, and while your child is under 13 only you can turn it on, from your parent dashboard. You can turn it off again at any time. At 18 your child is asked, once, whether to show their real name outside the team, and nothing changes until they answer (Section 10).

5. Default privacy settings

When your child's profile is created, the following defaults apply automatically. You can change any of them later from the parent dashboard:

ControlDefaultWhere to change
Name on the team rosterON (your child's own team sees their name)Parent dashboard
External stats visibilityOFF (no public stats display under display username)Parent dashboard
Content sharing outside the teamOFF (only you can share your child's content beyond the team)Parent dashboard
Real name outside the teamOFF (only you can turn it on)Parent dashboard

The parent dashboard, accessible after the profile is created, presents each control with plain-English descriptions. Changes take effect immediately.

6. What ReviSports will NEVER do with your child's information

These protections are absolute and apply regardless of any control setting you change later:

  • We never sell your child's information. ReviSports does not sell, rent, or trade your child's personal information to any third party, at any age. For a child under 13 we go further: nothing about them is transferred to a third party for advertising, and no consent setting can change that. If your child is 13 or older, personalized advertising is ON BY DEFAULT for them in most states, and while it is on the only thing our advertising partner receives is a pseudonymous advertising identifier, never their name, date of birth, school, team, statistics, messages, or uploads, and you can switch it off at any time from the parent dashboard. The advertising rules by age and state are set out in the Advertising section of the Privacy Policy.
  • No personalized or behavioral advertising to children under 13, ever. While your child is under 13, all advertising shown adjacent to their content is contextual only, ReviSports sends the legally required child-directed treatment signal with each advertising request, and no information that identifies or tracks your child is included in any advertising request. This is a hard system rule that no setting can override (Privacy Policy § 4.3).
  • At 13, standard advertising rules apply, and personalized advertising is ON BY DEFAULT. Once your child turns 13, personalized advertising operates under the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy Section 4.2. In most states it is active by default with no opt-in required, and you can switch it off for your child at any time from the parent dashboard. Two exceptions are applied automatically by state of residence: in California at ages 13 to 15, and in Colorado, New York and Texas, it stays OFF until your child switches it on themselves; in Connecticut and Maryland it is off entirely and cannot be switched on.
  • No behavioral tracking cookies for under-13. Hard system rule, cannot be overridden by any consent mechanism (Privacy Policy § 8.2).
  • No marketing use of your child's likeness without separate consent (Terms of Service § 8.4).
  • No prohibited ad categories (gambling, alcohol, tobacco, vaping, weight-loss, dietary supplements, financial products, political campaigns, dating services).

7. Content monitoring and child safety

  • If ReviSports becomes aware of apparent child sexual abuse material (CSAM) on the Platform, ReviSports reports it to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (“NCMEC”) as required by 18 U.S.C. § 2258A.
  • Comments are subject to an automated profanity filter.
  • Your child has no account, so they send and receive no messages. Every message in your team's chats, including yours, is screened by artificial intelligence for safety. This applies to team chat, group chats, and direct messages. The screening is done by software, not by a person reading conversations: a first-pass model looks at each message, and only if it flags something does a second model read the surrounding conversation to decide. The excerpt sent to our AI provider is de-identified first (anonymous speaker labels and message text only, no names or account identifiers). It looks for bullying and harassment, sexual content, grooming or predatory approaches, threats of violence, self-harm, and hate. Privacy Policy § 6.8 sets out what is processed and who receives an alert.
  • Any user may report content or another user. Reports involving minors are prioritized.
  • ReviSports may disclose information to law enforcement when required by law or when necessary to protect your child or others. Beyond what the law compels, where we believe in good faith that someone is at risk of serious harm we may contact law enforcement, child protective services, a school, or another appropriate authority ourselves, without needing permission from a parent, guardian, or organization, and without telling them first where doing so could put someone at greater risk. We would rather tell you first, and normally will, but your child's safety comes ahead of that.

8. Data retention

ReviSports retains information using a tiered retention framework. The full framework is in Privacy Policy § 9. Summary:

  • Tier 1 (Live platform content): Removed within 48 hours of deletion request
  • Tier 2 (Permanent deletion; narrow legal exceptions only): Deleted content is permanently deleted, and specific content is preserved only when a legal hold or lawful obligation requires it
  • Tier 3 (Consent and verification records): Minimum 7 years
  • Tier 4 (Financial records): 7 years
  • Tier 5 (Litigation hold): Indefinite if applicable
  • Tier 6 (Modeling Technologies): Permanent (see Section 3)

9. Your continuing rights

You may exercise the following rights at any time. ReviSports honors these rights for all users; for your child, you exercise them on your child's behalf:

  • Review all personal information we hold about your child (email support [at] revisports.com, or use the parent dashboard).
  • Review all content posted about your child through the parent dashboard.
  • Modify or revoke any privacy control setting at any time through the parent dashboard. Changes take effect immediately.
  • Request deletion of your child's profile and all associated personal information. Deletion requests are fulfilled within 48 hours.
  • Refuse to permit further collection, use, or maintenance of your child's personal information, which will result in the deletion of your child's profile.

These rights are confirmed in Privacy Policy § 5.7. The Modeling Technologies use described in Section 3 above is the one exception to deletion: the underlying Content is removed per Tier 1, but trained models are not retroactively altered.

10. The 18th-birthday transition

When your child turns 18, they become a legal adult. Privacy Policy § 5.5 explains what happens then.

11. Changes to this disclosure

ReviSports may revise the practices described in this disclosure from time to time and will notify you by email of any such revision, stating its effective date. For any revision that materially expands the collection, use, or disclosure of your child's personal information beyond the scope of this consent, ReviSports will obtain renewed verifiable parental consent before applying it to your child's profile, as required by COPPA. For all other revisions, your continued use of the Platform after the effective date stated in the notice constitutes acceptance of the revised practices.
