Copyright and DMCA
ReviSports respects copyright. Most film here is recorded by the teams and families who post it. If you believe material on ReviSports infringes a copyright you own or represent, you can send us a takedown notice and we will act on it.
How to send a takedown notice
The fastest way is our reporting form. Go to Report a concern and choose “Copyright infringement (DMCA takedown).” It walks you through everything the law requires. You can also write to our designated copyright agent at the address below.
Either way, to be effective your notice must include all of the following (17 U.S.C. 512(c)(3)):
- Your physical or electronic signature (typing your full name counts).
- Identification of the copyrighted work you say is being infringed.
- A link to the specific material you want removed, so we can find it.
- Your contact information (an email address at minimum).
- A statement that you have a good faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner.

What happens after a valid notice
When we receive a valid notice, we remove or disable access to the material and let the person who posted it know, with a copy of the notice and an explanation of the counter notice process below.
Repeat infringers
We terminate the accounts of people who infringe copyright repeatedly. A strike is recorded when we remove material in response to a valid notice that is not withdrawn and not reversed by a successful counter notice.
- First strike: we remove the material and notify the account holder.
- Second strike: we remove the material and suspend uploading and film sharing for 30 days.
- Third strike: we terminate the account. For a coach or staff account inside a school or club organization, we also notify that organization’s administrator.
Strikes expire 12 months after they are recorded. Nothing here stops us from terminating an account immediately where the infringement is blatant.
Counter notices
If your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake or a misidentification, you may send a counter notice to our copyright agent under 17 U.S.C. 512(g). It must identify the removed material and where it appeared, state under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief it was removed by mistake or misidentification, and include your name, address, phone number, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your district (or, if you are outside the United States, any district in which we may be found). If we receive a valid counter notice we forward it to the person who sent the original notice, and unless they file a court action within 10 to 14 business days we may restore the material.
A warning about false claims
Under 17 U.S.C. 512(f), a person who knowingly misrepresents that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys’ fees. Please be sure before you file.
